Parkland County is proposing to adopt the River’s Edge Development Area Policies and rescind the Woodbend-Graminia Area Structure Plan.
Stage 1 engagement introduced the project and gathered a range of perspectives on potential policy ideas. The Project Team considered that feedback, along with technical analysis and existing County plans and policies, when preparing the draft River’s Edge Development Area Policies.

We are aware of a banner displayed on private property outside of Parkland County, along Highway 779, containing racist and disparaging language directed toward Indigenous peoples. Due to flooding, the public washrooms at Wabamun Waterfront Park are closed until further notice.

This year’s historic rainfall has left standing water across many parts of Parkland County. We understand how stressful it can be to see water remaining near homes, fields, roads and driveways after an extended period of wet weather and saturated ground conditions.
