Parkland County maintains two sports fields, Coal Diamond Sports Park and Meridian Sports Park, both offering a variety of amenities including green spaces, soccer fields, playgrounds, and ball diamonds. These Facilities are open daily (weather permitting) from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm and are currently accepting bookings through September for events, sports tournaments, and other outdoor activities.

Parkland County is home to many beautiful lakes, providing our residents to recreational experiences such as swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing to name a few. Parkland County is modernizing its approach to Area Structure Plans (ASP) to help make planning documents more consistent, flexible, and user-friendly for residents, landowners, businesses and applicants.Two public engagement opportunities are coming up in June, and we invite residents to stop by, learn more, and share feedback with the project team.
In October 2025, the Tri-Municipal Region participated in a large-scale provincial housing and service needs estimation. The data highlighted in the report can be used to help inform decision-making across organizations, funders, and government by providing reliable and up-to-date information on housing insecurity, housing stock, and service needs. The community report was released on May 20, 2026 by local municipal partners.
