This fall, Parkland County, Sturgeon County, Woodlands County, and Leduc County are joining to present a webinar series on prairie fruit orchard management. Registration is required for these zoom sessions, taking place Nov. 26th & Dec. 3rd.

Farmland in Alberta is uniquely important for bat conservation. Many of our bats feed over crops and pastures and may target insects that harass livestock. Old farmyard buildings are often used as roosts and can be critical for supporting local bat populations. Ensuring bat-friendly practices on farms and creating conditions where bats can thrive are important for healthy ecosystems across Alberta.

Parkland County will be performing planned repairs on critical water infrastructure in Entwistle. As a result, water service will be temporarily shut-off. This will take place on Wednesday, September 3 at 4:00 p.m. Note that service will be restored once flushing and water quality testing is complete. Water may remain off for up to 6 hours.
