Environmental and Agricultural Services' Pond Days events have brought another year of outdoor learning in Parkland County. From Wednesday, May 27, to Friday, May 29, students from grade four and five classes had the opportunity to participate in interactive learning stations set up at the Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area.

Seniors Week is coming up from June 1 to 7, and in Parkland County, we’re celebrating all month long! The Tri-Municipal Region will be hosting a variety of events, with Seniors Shuttle rides available for free to Parkland County seniors.
Parkland County maintains two sports fields, Coal Diamond Sports Park and Meridian Sports Park, both offering a variety of amenities including green spaces, soccer fields, playgrounds, and ball diamonds. These Facilities are open daily (weather permitting) from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm and are currently accepting bookings through September for events, sports tournaments, and other outdoor activities.
Parkland County is home to many beautiful lakes, providing our residents to recreational experiences such as swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing to name a few. For those residents lucky enough to reside on or in the near vicinity of these lake, docks and seasonal mooring structures are a common part of waterfront living.

Parkland County is modernizing its approach to Area Structure Plans (ASP) to help make planning documents more consistent, flexible, and user-friendly for residents, landowners, businesses and applicants.Two public engagement opportunities are coming up in June, and we invite residents to stop by, learn more, and share feedback with the project team.
