Septic Awareness Week is a great reminder to learn more about how your septic system works and how proper care can help protect your property and groundwater.

The Alberta Onsite Wastewater Management Association is offering a free online webinar on September 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Improving Your Septic Sense session will cover how to understand, operate and maintain your onsite septic system, protect your investment and help preserve groundwater.

Parkland County firefighters put their skills to the test at the inaugural Battle for the Bell on August 11 at the Acheson Fire Hall. Twenty-eight firefighters competed in team-based challenges inspired by the physical demands and skills used in the fire service.
