TAKE NOTICE that Parkland County Council has given first reading to Infrastructure Borrowing Bylaw No. 2026-28 which will, upon final passage and approval, authorize Parkland County to borrow monies from an authorized financial institution to finance construction and completion of wastewater infrastructure in Acheson Zone 5 at Highway 16A and Spruce Valley Road.
The Parkland Dragon Boat Racing Club is hosting its 2nd Annual Race Day Event at Wabamun’s Waterfront Park on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Wabamun Waterfront Park will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event and there will be no parking on site. There will also be no access to the boat launch for the day.
Due to impacts on regional drainage and wastewater systems, the ARROW Utilities line in the Big Lake area is currently backing up. ARROW Utilities vacuum trucks are on site to address the issue and reduce overflow.
Residents of Walker Lake Estates, Morningside Properties, and Lakeridge Estates are urgently asked to reduce water consumption immediately and avoid all non-essential water use until further notice.
