Connect with local resources at the Living Well, Aging Well Expo!
Adults 50+, caregivers and family members are invited to spend a day learning, connecting and discovering resources to support healthy living and aging well.
The Living Well, Aging Well Expo is coming to Entwistle on Thursday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hosted by Seba Seniors, the City of Spruce Grove, and Parkland County, the free event will bring local services, community organizations and resources together to make it easier to find information and support for aging well.
Whether you are planning for your own future, looking for ways to remain healthy and independent, or helping care for a parent or loved one, the Expo is an opportunity to ask questions, make connections and learn about the supports available in the region.
Something to discover at every stop
Activities will take place across three locations in Entwistle.
At the Entwistle Community Recreation Centre, attendees can take in the opening ceremony and hear from guest speakers and experts sharing information relevant to older adults. Local seniors’ organizations will also be on hand to share information about their memberships, programs and activities.
At the Entwistle Community Hall, attendees can connect directly with businesses and service providers that support older adults throughout Parkland, Brazeau, and Yellowhead counties.
The Entwistle Seniors Centre will offer a free light lunch and entertainment.
The street between event locations will be closed to help attendees safely travel between venues.
Find information before you need it
Navigating programs and services can sometimes be challenging, particularly when you’re not sure what help is available or where to start.
The Living Well, Aging Well Expo is designed to bring that information closer to the people who need it. Attendees can talk directly with service providers, learn about community programs and explore resources that may help them stay independent, connected and supported.
The event is intended not only for older adults, but also for caregivers and family members helping parents and loved ones access information and support.
