Large Item Collection Event Coming to Entwistle and Wabamun
Residents of Entwistle and Wabamun can take advantage of Parkland County's upcoming Large Item Collection Event.
Integrity Waste Solutions will provide curbside collection of eligible large items, making it easy to dispose of unwanted household items that do not fit in regular waste collection carts.
Collection Dates
Entwistle: Wednesday, September 16
Wabamun: Monday, September 28
Residents are asked to place eligible items at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on their collection day. Items may be collected by different trucks throughout the day.
Important Collection Guidelines
- Houses with back alleys much have large items put out at the FRONT of your property for collection.
- Attach a note on items such as basketball and hockey nets, lawn mowers, wheelbarrows, rain barrels, bicycles, and kid's toys to help identify them as being out for pick up.
- All items that can be recycled are recycled accordingly.
- All items must be less than 6 feet by 3 feet (1.8 metres x 0.9 metres) and weight less than 100 lbs. (45 kg).
Some examples of acceptable items for collection include:
- Applicances (e.g., Washers, Dryers, Stoves)
- Barbeques/Smokers (no tanks)
- Furniture
- Lawnmower (all fluid drained)
- Mattress and box springs
- Patio furniture
- Rain barrels
- Sinks
- Snowblower (all fluid drained)
- Wheelbarrow
- Wood/wood products
Items that are NOT acceptable for collection include:
- Assembled swing sets
- Batteries of any kind
- Car Parts, ATV, Snowmobiles
- Computers (monitor, towers, keyboards, etc.)
- Desktop printer
- Fridgers, freezers, air conditioners
- Household Hazardous Waste (e.g., paint, household chemicals including aerosol cans)
- Items weighing more than 100 lbs.
- Items larger than 1.8 metres (6 feet) in length
- Oil and oil related products
- Propane tanks or any pressurized tanks
- Stereos
- Televisions
- Tires
- Toilets
