ALUS Parkland is a stewardship program that partners with local farmers and ranchers to enhance and protect environmentally sensitive areas on agricultural land, such as wetlands, riparian areas, pollinator habitat, and shelterbelts. The program provides technical support and annual payments to landowners who implement projects that improve ecosystem services, helping to strengthen environmental sustainability, natural infrastructure, and long-term community resilience in Parkland County.
Term/Expiry
- Council appointments are made annually at the organizational meeting.
- Public Committee members are appointed by Parkland County Council for four-year terms.
Meetings
Meetings will be held a minimum of four (4) times, and a maximum of ten (10) times per year.
