Agricultural Services Board

The Agricultural Service Board is a volunteer advisory board that helps Parkland County Council address issues related to agriculture, environmental stewardship, and economic diversification while supporting a strong and sustainable agricultural sector. The Board provides recommendations on agricultural policies, conservation programs, and industry challenges, and also fulfills legislated responsibilities under provincial agricultural legislation, including hearing certain appeals related to weeds, pests, and soil conservation.
Membership
Two Council members and up to seven appointed public members.
Term/Expiry
- Council appointments are made annually at the organizational meeting.
- Public Committee members are appointed by Parkland County Council for up to four-year terms.
Meetings
Meetings will be held a minimum of four (4) times, and a maximum of ten (10) times per year, unless requested by Council or the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
