WILDFIRE ALERT IN PARKLAND COUNTY
Update - Tuesday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m.
Parkland County Fire Services has contained the fire and there is no further danger to the public. The Emergency Alert was cancelled at 11:00 am however, the State of Local Emergency will remain in effect to allow fire crews access to private property as needed while they action hot spots for the remainder of the day and overnight.
A Fire Ban remains in effect for Parkland County.
Update - Monday, May 4 at 4:00 p.m.
Parkland County fire crews continue to make progress towards extinguishing the fire. The fire has not grown further in size and continues to be held at 20 hectares. Crews will continue working throughout the day, today and tomorrow, to extinguish the fire. Unless there are immediate changes prior to tomorrow, the next update will be Tuesday morning, May 5.

Update - Monday, May 4 at 10:10 a.m.
Parkland County Fire crews, along with assistance from Alberta Wildfire, continue to action the fire which has not grown is size and continues to be held. The original wildfire alert remains in effect and residents are still advised to be prepared to evacuate should the situation change.
If there are no immediate changes, another update will follow this afternoon.

Update - Sunday, May 3 at 9:15 p.m.
Fire crews continue to work diligently to contain the fire. Currently, the fire is held at approximately 20 hectares. Crews will remain onsite, working overnight and into tomorrow.
The original wildfire alert remains in effect, as does the declared State of Local Emergency. Residents are still advised to be prepared to evacuate should the situation change.

Update - Sunday, May 3 at 5:00 p.m.
Parkland County has declared a State of Local Emergency for the wildfire located near Range Road 10 and Beau Rand Estates. This additional step has been taken in order to authorize fire-fighting crews to enter private property for the purpose of setting up sprinklers. All information and advice in the original alert below remains valid.
Should the situation call for it, declaring a State of Local Emergency also grants authorization to order a mandatory evacuation. NO EVACUATION IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. However, residents are advised to prepare to evacuate should the situation change.

Parkland County has issued a wildfire alert.
There is a wildfire located near range road 10 and Beau Rand Estates.
This alert is in effect for everyone in the area between range road 11 to range road 281, and from the river north to township road 505, including Beau Rand Estates.
Action to take:
- Everyone in the area between range road 11 to range road 281, and from the river north to township road 505, including Beau Rand Estates must prepare to evacuate
- Fuel vehicles
- Gather identification and important documents
- Pack enough clothes and belongings for up to 72 hours
- Gather medications and devices
- No evacuation is required at this time
- An alert will follow if an evacuation is required
