Notice of Wabamun Boat Launch Closure - July 11
The Parkland Dragon Boat Racing Club is hosting its 2nd Annual Race Day Event at Wabamun’s Waterfront Park on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Spectators are welcome to come down, cheer on the racers, and enjoy the day’s activities, including:
- Races: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Rose Ceremony: 12 p.m.
- Silent River Kung Fu lion and dragon dance: 12:30 p.m.
- Races resume: 1:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Parking and access information
Please note that Wabamun Waterfront Park will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event and there will be no parking on site.
The park will remain open to the public, but visitors will need to walk in. Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time to access the park.
There will also be no access to the boat launch for the day.
