This alert is in effect for everyone in the area between range road 11 to range road 281, and from the river north to township road 505, including Beau Rand Estates.

  • Pack enough clothes and belongings for up to 72 hours

Ecobuffers, Shelterbelts, and Soil Health

Come discover how planting eco-buffers and shelterbelts can boost your soil’s health and keep your land thriving.

Join us for a free online webinar on May 13th from 7:00pm - 8:30pm to learn about ecobuffers, shelterbelts and how to succeed in planting them. We will also be covering funding available for these types of planting projects.

The webinar is hosted by the Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society (AWES) and Parkland County, focusing on eco-buffers and shelterbelts. Eco-buffers are living landscapes built on the success of shelterbelts - they do everything and more, while playing a key role in the future of agroforestry.

 The event will be an hour long with a Question and Answer period at the end.
