Celebrating Volunteers Across Parkland County

Parkland County celebrated National Volunteer Week from April 19 to 25, recognizing the incredible volunteers who help keep our communities strong and connected.

The County hosted three drop‑in volunteer events across Parkland County on April 20, 21 and 22, welcoming both current volunteers and those interested in getting involved. These events provided an opportunity to connect with others, enjoy light refreshments, and meet with members of Council.

The celebrations also included the annual Volunteer Appreciation Night, themed Ignite Volunteerism, a fitting tribute to the spark volunteers bring to our community. It was a pleasure to see so many valued community members recognized for their contributions.

Volunteers play a vital role in a thriving County. Many amenities, programs, and recreational opportunities would not be possible without their time and dedication.
