After-school program update

Parkland County’s after-school programming offered in partnership with Brightwood Ranch will no longer be offered for the 2026-2027 school year.

Brightwood Ranch has recently made changes to its organizational priorities and is renewing its focus on its core operations. As part of this change, the organization will no longer maintain the year-round staffing and operational capacity needed to deliver after-school programming. Brightwood Ranch will instead focus on summer camps and retreat experiences at the ranch.

We are grateful to Brightwood Ranch for their partnership and for the dedication they have shown to the children, youth, and families who participated in these programs. We also thank the many families who took part and helped make the programs such a success.

While a replacement program has not been finalized, Parkland County remains committed to supporting opportunities for children and youth in our communities.

We will provide updates once new programming details become available.
