Public Hearing: Bylaw 2026-13

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO CLOSE PORTION OF HIGHWAY AS HEREIN DESCRIBED

Pursuant to the authority of the County Council and as provided in Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposal of Council to pass Bylaw 2026-13 to close, for the purpose of sale that portion of road in Parkland County in the Province of Alberta described as follows:

MERIDIAN 5 RANGE 4 TOWNSHIP 53  
ALL THAT PORTION OF ROAD WIDENING LOCATED WITHIN NW28-53-4-W5  
AS SHOWN IN ITS ENTIRETY ON PLAN 1620765 
EXCEPTING THEREOUT ALL MINES AND MINERALS

A copy of the proposed Bylaw 2026-13 and location plan are available free of charge prior to the Public Hearing date by e-mailing lde@parklandcounty.com or by making an appointment to visit Parkland County Centre during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday).

If you wish to speak to Council at the Public Hearing, please note:

  • Meetings are held in the Council Chambers. However, hybrid attendance via Microsoft Teams is also available. Registration is not required for in-person attendance.
  • For Teams virtual attendance, registration is required by 12:00 p.m., the business day prior to the scheduled meeting. If you wish to attend via Teams, please email governanceagendas@parklandcounty.com to register.

Hearing Procedure

This is a formal Public Hearing and Council is prepared to hear and receive formal submissions and presentations (verbal or written) from those who wish to speak to the proposed Bylaw. Written submissions or presentations may either be submitted in advance to Engineering Services at lde@parklandcounty.com by 4:00 p.m. March 20, 2026 or submitted at the commencement of the Public Hearing on March 24, 2026.

Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation to Council should notify Engineering Services in advance of the Public Hearing by 4:00 p.m. March 20, 2026. Verbal presentations at the Public Hearing will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation who has not made prior arrangements may be allocated a time at the commencement of the Public Hearing. Council advises that this is your last opportunity to comment on the proposed Bylaw as Council is unable to receive further submissions after the Public Hearing is closed.
