Parkland County Fire Services celebrates recruit graduation and service awards

Parkland County Fire Services celebrated the graduation of its 2025 recruit class on April 8, recognizing 20 new firefighters as they officially joined the service.

“These recruits have not only put in the time and hard work required to reach this milestone but have shown the character it requires.” said Fire Chief Brian Cornforth. “They are joining a service built on teamwork, integrity, and a strong commitment to community. We are proud to welcome them to Parkland County Fire Services, and we hope their achievement encourages others to consider firefighting as a meaningful way to serve close to home.”

In addition to celebrating the newest members of Parkland County Fire Services, the evening recognized firefighters and emergency communications staff for service milestones ranging from three to 35 years, along with provincial and federal honours for exemplary service.
