Senior Shuttle Service Back on the Road with New Field Trips in 2026

The Parkland County Seniors Shuttle Service is back and running, helping seniors aged 65+ and residents with disabilities travel safely and affordably. The shuttle operates on Tuesdays only, travelling west to east from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The service is open to everyone, with priority given to seniors and people with disabilities.

New for 2026: the program is adding monthly seniors field trips, giving riders more chances to get out, socialize, and enjoy local events.

The first field trip is already planned:

  • Tomahawk Jamboree
  • Friday, February 20
  • 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
  • Cost: $15 per person (covers event entry and lunch; bus fare is extra)

This community-focused service is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program and relies on strong local support to keep rural residents connected.
