Renewable energy feedback encouraged

On behalf of our Agricultural Services Board, please note the following information being shared from the Government of Alberta regarding renewable energy reclamation security engagement.

Input is being requested from the renewable energy industry, including landowners, to assist in the development of a government-led program to collect reclamation security for wind and solar renewable energy projects on private land.

This engagement is a part of government's wider effort to advance policy, legislative and regulatory changes for renewable energy development. Feedback is encouraged through to October 25, 2024.

• On February 28, 2024, the Minister of Affordability and Utilities shared government’s intention to advance policy, legislative and regulatory changes for renewable energy development before the end of 2024. 
• Indigenous engagement and stakeholder engagement is encouraged to share feedback to help inform policy, legislative and regulatory changes; discover more.
