Public Hearing: Bylaw 2026-11 Commercial Redistricting Amendment Bylaw
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with the requirements of Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, as amended, the Council of Parkland County has scheduled a Public Hearing regarding the proposed adoption of the following Bylaw:

Location: Parkland County Council Chambers, 53109A Hwy 779, Parkland County, Alberta
Parkland County has received planning applications to amend Land Use Bylaw 2025-12.
The purpose of the proposed amendment (Bylaw 2026-11) is:

To redistrict a parcel of land located at NW-12-53-3-5 from Agriculture General District (AG) to Commercial District (C) to facilitate future commercial land use.
Hearing Procedure
This is a formal Public Hearing and Council is prepared to hear and receive formal submissions and presentations (verbal or written) from those who wish to speak to the proposed Bylaw. Written submissions should be submitted in advance to Legislative & Legal Services at governanceagendas@parklandcounty.com by 4:30 p.m. on March 18, 2026.
Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation to Council must notify Legislative & Legal Services at governanceagendas@parklandcounty.com by 4:30 p.m. on March 18, 2026. Verbal presentations at the Public Hearing will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation who has not made prior arrangements will be provided a 10 minute opportunity to speak after all registered speakers have spoken. Council advises that this is your last opportunity to comment on the proposed Bylaw as Council is unable to receive further submissions once the Public Hearing is closed.

Copies of the proposed Bylaw are available free of charge by email or by visiting Parkland County Centre during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday). A copy of the proposed bylaw can also be found in the March 10 Regular Council Meeting Agenda.
