Parkland County libraries now offer summer science kits

Summer Science Kits – Now available at Parkland County Libraries!

Parkland County’s Agriculture and Environmental Services Department has created two kits for the local Parkland Libraries to help residents learn about what’s happening in their own backyard.

The ornithology kit includes all you need to identify and learn about local birds! Discover everything from anatomy to bird calls, and more by using the included binoculars, field guides and resources on birds in the County.

Get up close with the microscope kit and explore the tiny world around you! This kit will teach you how to use a microscope to see what is invisible to the naked eye. This kit is complete with pond water sampling guides, DIY experiments and activities.

Find your local library branch to borrow a kit and get exploring!
