Official results of the 2025 Municipal Election Released, Confirming New Mayor and Council

Parkland County is pleased to announce the official results of the 2025 municipal election, held on Monday, October 20. 

Mayor-elect Shaigec will make his return to the office of Parkland County Mayor, following three previous terms from 2010 to 2021. Also making a return to Parkland County Council is Division 1 incumbent, Councillor Sally Kucher Johnson, and Division 6 Councillor-elect John McNab, who previously served for two terms from 2013-2021. Jason Doucette, Ben Jespersen, Corey Kyle and Kristine Olson will join Council for their first terms, representing Divisions 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively.

"I am honoured to return to public service and grateful for the trust placed in me by the residents of Parkland County,” said Mayor-elect Shaigec. “My priorities moving forward include responsible financial stewardship, accountable and transparent governance, strategic infrastructure investments, protecting our environment and building a stronger and more resilient local economy. I am looking forward to working with the newly elected Councillors to deliver real solutions that benefit every corner of our County and build a stronger community.”
