Local Family wins Agriculture award

ALUS (Alternative Land Use Services) provides expertise, resources, and direct financial support to farmers and ranchers to establish and steward nature-based solutions on their land.

Wayne and Jesse Pukalo, a father and son team who own and operate Century Simmentals, were honoured with the Dave Reid Award, an award that recognizes farmers participating in ALUS who are dedicated to producing ecological services on their land for the benefit of their communities and the environment.

Wayne has also helped grow the local ALUS program as a member and Chair of the Partnership Advisory Committee, along with helping pilot and launch the ALUS enhanced grazing program in his community.
