Local Author Spotlight featuring Cassandra Troughton

The Tree Spot is a beautifully illustrated children’s picture book that explores the deep connection between nature and humanity through the eyes of a little girl named Willow.

Local author, Cassandra Troughton, was inspired to write this book based on her time living in Parkland County. Every day after work, she would spend time outside recharging amidst the trees, often with a book or music. Other times, she enjoyed watching the sunset with her cats and dogs. This safe space where she connected with nature became her tree spot.

The book is a heartfelt story about the healing power of nature and the special spots that leave a lasting impact in our hearts. You can get a copy of her book on Amazon
