Let's Crush the Cold - in support of the Parkland Food Bank

Let’s crush the cold and bring warmth and support to those in need of food in the Tri-Region! As part of the Coldest Night of the Year campaign, Councillor Ben Jespersen will be leading the Parkland County team for a walk to support the Parkland Food Bank. On February 28, from 5 to 9 p.m., the Parkland County Cold Crushers team will come together for this important cause to help ensure everyone in the Tri-Region gets a meal.

Councillor Jespersen first got involved with this event two years ago alongside his family and his co-workers and was incredibly inspired to see the community come together to help support those in need. He credits his wife as his catalyst and truly admires her dedication and thoughtfulness in consistently seeking and finding families and individuals in need of hot meals to cook and provide for them. Together, Ben and Sarah diligently look for opportunities to give back and help others.

To be able to support the Parkland Food Bank again, Ben serves with a powerful reminder of the importance of the impact of action to create change with purpose and positive intent. He instigated involvement by not only encouraging donations, but in leading a team of County employees to organize a walk and be on-site at the event in February. We hope you can help us too.
