Give Your Business a Summer Glow-Up

Summer is here and it’s the perfect time to refresh your storefront! Parkland County’s Business Revitalization Program is back, covering up to 50% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $3,500 to help local businesses improve the look of their exteriors. From updated signage to new paint, this program supports projects that make our communities more vibrant and welcoming.

RIVERSIDE DINER AND LOUNGE USED THE BUSINESS REVITALIZATION PROGRAM  

Riverside Diner and Lounge used the Business Revitalization Program to give its exterior a modern refresh by enhancing their front entrance with new wood frame columns. The improvements made a noticeable aesthetic impact, drawing in more hungry visitors.

ANGUS OLIVER LUXURY SHEEPSKINS USED THE BUSINESS REVITALIZATION PROGRAM 

Angus Oliver Luxury Sheepskins revamped its entrance and outdoor retail area thanks to the Business Revitalization Program. The revitalized storefront has added warmth and visual appeal to the space, making it more inviting for both locals and tourists alike.

Eligible Projects for the Business Revitalization Program Include:

  • Entrance enhancements
  • Perpendicular signage
  • Window decals
  • Outdoor murals
  • Streetside paint or renovations
  • EV Chargers Level 2 or 3
  • Community signage

Community Streetscape Enhancements:

  • Bike racks
  • Outdoor furniture
  • Decorative lights and displays

Who Qualifies?

  • Storefront businesses located in Parkland County with valid and up-to-date permits
  • The proposed improvement project must comply with all applicable regulations, including Parkland County's Land Use Bylaw
  • Projects must have a minimum total cost of $1,000 (before tax) to be eligible for funding. This must reflect a completed and visible improvement to the business storefront
  • Home-based businesses and businesses operating without a public-facing storefront are not eligible

Application Process:

Before applying, here's what you need to know:

  • Funding is limited — apply early!
  • Connect with our Economic Diversification team to confirm project eligibility and review program criteria
  • Submit your completed application to: economicdiversification@parklandcounty.com
  • Secure any required permits through the PlanIt Portal (if applicable)
  • Application deadline: October 14, 2025
  • Project completion deadline: All project work must be completed and proof submitted by October 31, 2025
