Celebrate the Season at Wabamun Winterfest on December 5

Parkland County invites you to kick off the holiday season at Wabamun Winterfest (Jubilee Hall to Wabamun Commons area) on Friday, December 5 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This festive evening is packed with activities for all ages, bringing the community together in celebration and support.

Start your evening at Jubilee Hall, where the Christmas Market will be in full swing. Shop local vendors and enjoy a fundraiser concession in support of the Wabamun Community League. Over at the Wabamun Community Centre, families can take their own photos with Santa and enjoy a cozy Christmas movie and craft time hosted by Parkland County Libraries. Support a great cause by participating in Stuff the Bus. Donations of cash, nonperishable food items, and unwrapped new toys will be accepted in support of the Wabamun Food Hamber Program. A small mailbox will also be available for children to send letters to Santa.

Horse and wagon rides will be available from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., departing from the Enforcement Satellite Office. While you’re there, kids can explore enforcement vehicles and side-by-sides on display from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Free hot chocolate and coffee will also be available from the Tim Hortons van, and don’t forget to stop by the Wabamun & District Museum, which will be open throughout the evening.

The Wabamun & District Lions Club Bowling Alley will be open until 10:00 p.m., offering two games for $10 (including shoe rental) and handing out free tree ornaments while supplies last. Jingls will be providing cookies and decorating supplies for a sweet treat and creative fun.

To cap off the night, enjoy a spectacular fireworks display launched from The Coal Diamond Sports Park, starting at approximately 7:45 p.m. Bundle up and bring your holiday spirit, Winterfest is a wonderful way to connect with your community and make lasting memories.
