Bursary Winners Announced - Producer's Dinner

On November 5, Parkland County’s agricultural community gathered at Keephills Community Hall for the annual Producer Dinner, hosted by the Agriculture Services Department and Agricultural Service Board. The evening celebrated the vital role producers play in our community, feeding families, driving innovation, and sustaining our rural way of life.

This year’s dinner featured a bee-themed message, as referenced by Mayor Rod Shaigec, reminding us that like bees in a hive, we thrive when we work together. Our producers exemplify this spirit, building something greater than themselves through collaboration, dedication, and care for the land.

We were proud to award four $500 bursaries to post-secondary students pursuing careers in agriculture:

  • Levi Leteta

  • Peta Kendall-Price

  • Blake Klein

  • Rylee Rogers

Congratulations to each of our bursary recipients and thank you for your commitment to the succession of our agricultural industry!

A special thank you to our local 4-H club members for their outstanding support during the event. Your enthusiasm and teamwork helped make the evening a success.
