Alberta Lake Management Society - Annual Conference September 24-25

A keynote address is being hosted by Lorne Fitch, a professional biologist, retired provincial fish and wildlife scientist, and former adjunct professor at the University of Calgary. His work on conservation has been acknowledged by multiple awards, and his first book will be available on-site, entitled Streams of Consequence: Dispatches from the Conservation World.

The two-day conference tackles important topics ranging from Wabamun Watershed Management Council growth and achievements, wetland restoration, species at risk, and various speakers showcasing local sites of ecological interest.
