Science Kits - Available at Parkland County Libraries

Science kits are available at all Parkland County libraries. Parkland County's Agricultural Services Department has developed four different science kits, residents have a wide array of tools to help them learn about the surrounding natural environment.

Calling all birdwatchers! The ornithology kit has everything you need to identify and learn about local birds. The kit includes field guides, binoculars and information on birds in the County.

For a more detail-oriented kit, consider taking out the microscope kit. The kit includes pond water sampling guides, DIY experiments and other activities to get residents well-acquainted with the microscopic world right under their noses.

Two new science kits have been created, as well! The water quality testing kit consists of a field guide and instructions, a freshwater testing kit, and an informational graphic novel. The native flower kit includes a plant press, interactive activities and useful resources such as a recipe book using native plants.

Are you ready to delve into a world of scientific discovery? Visit your local Parkland County library to borrow a kit!
