This quick tip sheet offers an overview of the essential lands designated to the protection and enhancement of the environment according to their usage and to ensure the benefit of all residents in Parkland County. 

What is Permitted on County Land?
Public use of County owned land and registered interests are governed under the Use of County Land By-Law 2023-015, County Policies and the Municipal Government Act. Please refer to Bylaw 2023-015, for permitted and non-permitted uses and activities on County Land. If you are looking to access County Land for educational purposes or conduct any work-related activities, you require approval from the Land Management Department: Authorization to Work in County Land Application

Private Interest in County Land 
Parkland County offers various uses of County Land which include, but not limited to Agricultural Land Licenses, Access for Seasonal Docks & Moorings, the Lease or Sale of County Land or obtaining a License of Occupation.
