2024 Achievements

As part of a regular and ongoing process, Parkland County is updating its Land Use Bylaw (LUB) and its Municipal Development Plan (MDP). These important projects take into consideration the wide variety of current and potential land uses by local businesses and residents. Our Project Teams have completed 100 hours of public consultations to ensure that anyone who wanted to give feedback or submit ideas had the opportunity to do so.

• Build out of the Land Management Tool
• Completed Land Use Applications
• Completed Leases, Licenses, and Authorizations

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and implements policies and frameworks to facilitate new development, economic growth and long-term planning​
• Manages a range of land use applications through review and approval processes ​
• Provides a range of land use planning and regulatory services as directed by the Municipal Government Act and Safety Codes Act 

• Oversees the management of County-owned land and dispositions
