Emergency Communications

Our regional, multi-service Emergency Communication Centre is an Accredited Centre of Excellence, a prestigious recognition of achievement and quality service granted by the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch.

We don’t just protect Parkland County- our centre answers 80,000 calls a year and dispatches for 58 fire departments in Alberta! 

Recently, our call centre upgraded its network and phone system to replace 9-1-1 infrastructure that’s been around for decades.  This new system will ensure our centre is set up for success as 9-1-1 technology, including text messaging, evolves over the coming years.
