Information For Voters
Election Day was October 20, 2025!
Regular voting stations opened at 9:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m.
Registration
- All voters must be on the permanent Electors Registry.
Voter eligibility
- You were eligible to vote in the election if:

- You are at least 18 years old,
- You are a Canadian Citizen, and
- You reside in Alberta, and your usual place of residence is located in the local jurisdiction on election day.
Voter ID requirements
- All registered voters were required to show valid government issued identification containing the voters name and photograph.
- Samples of common identification: Alberta Drivers Licence, Canadian Passport, Canadian Citizenship Card, Canadian Forces ID card, Veterans Health Care ID card, First Nation Membership card, Métis Nation of Alberta Citizenship card.
- All non-registered voters were required to complete a statement of elector eligibility and show valid government issued identification containing a photograph, name, and current address. If unable to produce government issued photo identification, you'll be required to provide valid ID with your name and address, such as a bank statement, personal cheque, mortgage statement, income tax assessment or vehicle ownership/registration.
