A functional planning study for Township Road 524 between Range Road 12 (Town of Stony Plain boundary) and Highway 770 is underway. Draft functional plans have been developed for the intermediate term (15 to 20 year) and long term (50 to 75 year). Your feedback is needed to provide local knowledge on the draft functional plans.

What is a Functional Plan?

A functional plan identifies the long-term requirements for a roadway, including the number of lanes, access locations, and land requirements.

Functional plans allow the County to determine costs for upgrades and plan for future construction. Timelines for construction are uncertain and may be many years away.

How Input Will Be Used?

Local knowledge and input from residents and the public will be used to identify additional constraints and considerations that may be used to refine the draft functional plans. Updated draft plans will be presented to Parkland County Council in early 2023.
