Hunting
Hunting in Parkland County is permitted, subject to some restrictions and is regulated by the Alberta Government. Hunting and the discharging of firearms are prohibited in Parkland County parks, reserve lands, subdivisions and hamlets. No person has the right to enter private property to hunt without prior consent from the land owner. Provincial regulations also state that it is an offence to discharge a firearm within 183 meters (200 yards) of any occupied building.
Fishing
Fishing is permitted within Parkland County, and is also regulated by the Alberta Government. There are various fishing destinations in the County such as:
- Lake Wabamun
- Jackfish Lake
- Mink Lake
- Muir Lake
- Hasse Lake
- Chickakoo Day use Park (multiple small lakes)
- Hubbles Lake
- Isle Lake
- East Pit Lake
- Prospectors' Point (North Saskatchewan River)
- Constable Chelsey Robinson Day Use Park (North Saskatchewan River)
- Star Lake
- Pembina River Provincial Park
