Wildfire Advisory - North of Duffield

Parkland County has issued a Wildfire alert. Fire Services are responding to a wildland fire north of Duffield between Township Road 530 north to Hwy 16, and between Range Road 32 west to range road 34. All residents are urged to avoid the area. If you are in the area, be prepared to evacuate at short notice.

Wildfire advisory above remains in effect. Fire crews are continuing to work through the night.
UPDATE - Posted Wed May 7 at 9:00 a.m., reviewed and still current as of Wed May 7 at 12:00 p.m.
Wildfire advisory remains in effect. Crews have made progress overnight however the fire is still active, and crews are continuing to work to extinguish it. Residents are still urged to avoid the area. If you are in the area, please be prepared to evacuate should the fire escalate throughout the day.
Please note, unless the situation changes drastically, there will be no further update before 4:30 p.m. on Wed May 7.

The Range Road 32 Duffield Wildfire is now classified as Being Held.
Fire crews from Parkland County and Alberta Wildfire have continued to work through the day and have made excellent progress. The fire is currently being held and crews are working on mopping up remaining hot spots on the interior of the fire.
Please note - there will be no further update until the situation changes.

Thanks to the response and efforts of our fire service crews, the Duffield fire is now classified as under control. A wildfire advisory is no longer in effect for the area of Township Road 530 north to Hwy 16, between Range Road 32 west to Range Road 34.
We will now be closing this thread, and there will be no further updates on this post.
