Celebrating Fire Services Recruits and Long-Service and Emergency Services Award Recipients

On March 12, 2025, Parkland County Mayor Allan Gamble and Council proudly recognized the immense hard work of newly graduated Fire Services recruits, alongside the heartfelt dedication of long-serving firefighters and emergency services medal recipients, with a ceremony at the Heritage Park Pavilion in Stony Plain.
24 graduating recruits were congratulated in front of friends, family and dignitaries for achieving this significant milestone and for their courage and commitment to serve others.
In addition to the graduation of new recruits, veteran firefighters were recognized with awards marking 3, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 and even 40 years of service to the Parkland County community. The Provincial Alberta Emergency Services Medal Recipients for Fire Services were also presented to recipients to Fire Services members with 12 years, 22 years, 32 years and 40 years of service.
We commend our first responders for taking and continuing their journey forward to help make our County a better place to work, live and play.
