Brush and Branches

All Parkland County transfer stations accept brush and branches EXCEPT for Keephills Transfer Station.

Parkland County does not offer curbside waste and recycling pick-up for residents (except in the Hamlet of Entwistle and Hamlet of Wabamun, see below for details). You can drop off your regular household waste and recyclables at no charge at any of the transfer stations with a solid waste disposal card - you must show this card to the site operator before you can get rid of your waste.

What can I do to help?

Think about how you purchase, use and dispose of various products. Always remember that reduce, reuse, recycle is listed in order of priority:

  • Reduce
    • Reduce use of single use items – such as cups, straws and containers
    • Be mindful by purchasing products with less packaging
    • Use reusable bags when shopping
  • Reuse
    • Use reusable lunch containers, coffee mugs, shopping bags, etc.
    • Get items second-hand

    • Fix what you can before replacing items

    • Donate items you no longer use to charity
