Agriculture in Parkland County
Farming is a vital industry and way of life in Parkland County.
Living rurally comes with different opportunities and challenges than living in an urban setting. If you choose to live in the country, some farm and ranch activities may affect you, such as machinery noise, dust, and odours. Traffic with wide-loads and slow-moving machinery are also common and may cause dust.
The Agricultural Services department supports farming and rural communities with programs that include weed contol, roadside mowing, and information on rural living.
