Engrave It To Save It
Catalytic converters are being stolen at an alarming rate all across Canada. Engraving your catalytic converter with a portion of your Vehicle Identification Number serves as a deterrent and makes it traceable in the event of theft. Participating businesses in partnership with Rural Crime Watch, the Stony Plain and District Crime Prevention Association and the Parkland RCMP are working together to help reduce catalytic converter theft.

Parkland CAPTURE
(Community Assisted Policing Through the Use of Recorded Evidence)
You can help protect your property, your family and your community by registering your security cameras with Crime Capture Program. By registering your camera, you are taking an active role in deterring crime and assisting the RCMP with their overall crime prevention goals in your community. Residents and businesses who have video surveillance systems, and are willing to share video camera footage when requested, can sign up.
The program helps Parkland RCMP to solve crime faster by greatly reducing the time an officer needs to search for and gather video evidence. Video evidence increases the chance of a successful prosecution and acts as a deterrent for repeat offences.
The program covers the Parkland RCMP detachment areas within Parkland County and Lac Ste Anne County. Providing video footage is voluntary and resident information is kept confidential.
