FAQs
How does the plan work? |
- The monthly tax payment plan runs from January to December each year with the first payment starting January 17th
- The first five payments (January-May) are based on the previous year's tax levy. Changes to the instalment amount because of increases or decreases to the annual levy will be effective for the last seven payments of the year (July to December)
- Your tax notice will show the total amount of the payments made to date, as well as the new monthly payment amount for the last seven months of the year
- You can start the plan at any time throughout the year; however, missed payments for the year and any penalties must be paid upfront
- Payments are taken on the 17th of the month directly from your bank account
