Visit the Parkland County Animal Shelter Facebook Page for photos of found animals brought to our shelter. Feel free to share a photo of your missing pet on our Facebook wall to help spread the word!

Found a dog or cat?

In Parkland County

If you find a dog in Parkland County, you can drop it off at the Parkland County Animal Shelter. If you are unable to transport the dog to the shelter, you can contact Bylaw Services at 780-968-8400.

Parkland County does not have a cat bylaw; therefore, cats found in Parkland County cannot be accepted at the shelter. Cats can be taken to the Edmonton Humane Society if space is available or you can reach out to numerous local animal rescue agencies for assistance.

If you find a cat in Parkland Village, bring it into the shelter in accordance with Parkland County Bylaw No. 13-01.

Outside of Parkland County

Parkland County contracts its shelter out to the Town of Stony Plain, the City of Spruce Grove, the Village of Spring Lake, the Village of Alberta Beach, the Summer Village of Sandy Beach, the Summer Village of Kapasiwin, and the City of Fort Saskatchewan.

Town of Stony Plain

If you find a dog or cat in the Town of Stony Plain, bring the pet to our shelter or contact Stony Plain Enforcement Services at 780-963-8650.

City of Spruce Grove

If you find a dog or cat in the City of Spruce Grove, bring the pet to our shelter or contact Spruce Grove Enforcement Services at 780-962-7586.

Village of Spring Lake

If you find a dog in the Village of Spring Lake, bring the dog to our shelter or contact Parkland County Enforcement Services at 780-968-8400.

Spring Lake does not have a cat bylaw; therefore, cats are not accepted at the Parkland County Animal Shelter from Spring Lake.

Village of Alberta Beach

If you find a dog in the Village of Alberta Beach, bring the dog to our shelter or contact the Alberta Beach Village Office at 780-924-3181.

Cats found in Alberta Beach are not accepted at the Parkland County Animal Shelter.

Summer Village of Sandy Beach

If you find a dog in the Summer Village of Sandy Beach, bring the dog to our shelter or contact the Sandy Beach Village Office  at 780-967-2873.

Cats found in Sandy Beach are not accepted at the Parkland County Animal Shelter.

Summer Village of Kapasiwin

If you find a dog in the Summer Village of Kapasiwin, bring the dog to our shelter or contact the Kapasiwin Village Office  at 780-914-0997.

Cats found in Kapasiwin are not accepted at the Parkland County Animal Shelter.
