The Dark Sky Outdoor Lighting Policy ensures all new and retrofitted street lighting and flood lighting on private and County-managed lands is dark sky compliant. This means the light bulb must be fully shaded or sunken in the fixture to prevent light dispersion upwards and conserve energy.
