In emergencies, ambulance crews stabilize people who are injured or sick and transport them to the nearest health care facility for further treatment. Parkland County Fire Services may respond to provide initial care or assistance to the ambulance crew for serious medical emergencies, for a delay in ambulance response, or if AHS requests.
