The Capital Region Parkland Water Services Commission, through Epcor, provides water services to residents of Parkland County.

While Parkland County typically has an abundant water supply to meet residents’ daily demand, we need to be careful not to take this resource for granted as there are certain situations when water supplies can be affected, and measures put in place to prevent critical shortages.

EPCOR is closely monitoring the river runoff levels for the North Saskatchewan river and the levels appear to be in good shape currently.  Should they become critically low,  EPCOR will notify their partners for implementing water restrictions. In the meantime, Parkland County is making sure that our reservoirs are topped up so we can maintain residential water usage and firefighting water needs over anything else in the event of restrictions.
