Drought
Warmer than normal temperatures and a lack of precipitation over the winter months have resulted in Parkland County and the Province facing the risk of a significant drought in the coming months. We are monitoring conditions and are encouraging residents and business owners alike to help manage and conserve water where possible before it becomes a significant issue.
Parkland County has implemented a Water Shortage Action Plan to address water supply concerns and implement strategic solutions to combat water shortages should they be necessary.
The plan outlines actions to ensure that any disruption in water supply during drought conditions are minimized by enacting joint municipal and residential water conservation efforts.
