Farm Family Awards

Farm Family Award - Explore Edmonton*

* This award program has been suspended (March 15, 2024)

The objective of the Farm Family Award was to recognize outstanding farm families in an area north of Township 34. The Farm Family Award honored those who best exemplified the value of the family farm to our rural communities and society by being leaders in the industry.  Every two years the Parkland County Agricultural Service Board has looked for a farm family to nominate for this award.

Parkland County’s involvement with the Farm Family awards dates back to their inception in 1969. Parkland County has nominated a Farm Family every year in which we were eligible, with the exception of one year. In total, 43 farm families from Parkland County have been honoured by this award.
