Agriculture is a very important to Parkland County's economic development strategy. The agriculture sector generates $50 million annually and contributes to the local economy through equipment and materials including combines, trucks, fertilizers and seed. The County is a major producer of wheat, barley, oats and canola, in addition to major livestock operations, greenhouses and nurseries.
Parkland County is also looking beyond the traditional agricultural industry and working to:
