  • What We Do

The Tourism Action Plan is required to grow attraction programs for tourism business, increase support for current tourism businesses and enhance visitor experiences in the County.

The plan works towards providing support and resources to help tourism operators create experiences that will create an emotional relationship with our destination for our visitors. The holistic approach taken in creating this action plan will help Parkland County become a leader in local government for rural tourism. The plan has:

  • four pillars;
  • twenty-three objectives; and
  • a work plan that integrates with Council's Strategic Plan.
