What is a conceptual scheme?
A conceptual scheme, formerly known as an outline plan, is a plan for a proposed multi-parcel subdivision and how it relates to:
- existing and future parcels
- future subdivision and development of adjacent areas,
- access,
- servicing, and;
- reserves.
Conceptual schemes can be for urban industrial or multi-parcel rural development. Urban industrial conceptual schemes must be approved by Council resolution, while rural conceptual schemes are approved by the Director of Planning and Development Services.
